New to photography - what DSLR camera should I get?

I'm new to photography and would like to buy a good quality camera. I bought a Nikon Coolpix L110 but I am unhappy with the quality - the pictures are blurry, not very good motion detection etc. I'm looking in the price range of �200-�400 to buy a great DSLR with the highest image quality for the price and an all-round "worth-the-money" camera. Thanks for any suggestions :)
