Doctor left a gap in my knee replacement?

I had my knee replaced and the doctor left to much play in my knee now my leg just wobbles. and now 6 months later I have to go back in and have it repaired.... I also received severe nerve damage... and on nerve blockers to relax the nerves ...... Iv'e been told i have no chance at retribution because I didn't loose my leg but I have to undergo additional surgeries because of his mistake and also will have to have them more frequently not to mention having to deal with the pain....... please help me I don't know where to turn....my deal is not that I want money ....I just think I shouldn't have to pay for the new surgeries ..... anyone with advice on How I should go about this feel free to answer.......
