Int. student drive in GB?

I am a international student. I would like to exchange my international driving license with the full GB driving license. I first entered GB in Feb 2007 and my international driving license was issued on Jan 2007. How long can I use my International license in GB? I recently got a provisional driving license. Please tell me the process how to get full driving license in GB. Would I get any exemptions from driving tests?
